5 Push the lock lever forward until it stops.

6 Close the cover and front panel. Press down on the top

cover to make sure it is firmly closed.

Connecting to the Telephone Line

1 Insert one end of the telephone cord into the LINE jack in

the back of the machine.

2 Insert the other end into your wall telephone jack.

Now you can connect an optional handset, or an

external telephone or answering machine. See

instructions below.
